Adaptive thermal model for real-time peak temperature and cooling rate prediction in laser material processing

Laser materials processing (LMP) is highly sensitive to small disturbances in the process inputs, resulting changes thermal dynamics, particularly, peak temperature and cooling rate. These dynamic turn vary consistency of material mechanical properties processed material. There are numerous models estimate control these dynamics LMP processes. However, none existing can deal with real-time. In this research, an adaptive model developed that A two-dimensional laser heat treatment (LHT) for real-time prediction addition, optimization algorithm make The has been implemented on setup, multiple LHT experiments have performed study validate performance model. Results show effectively real-time, accurate rate predictions during LHT. This work be considered as important step towards development computationally efficient LMP.
